TV picture not to size of screen?

Hey, i have a Phillips big screen TV (don't know model, will edit to what it is if someone tells me where to find it)



But anyways, dad sat on controls, and now TV picture doesn't fit the entire screen. I tried changing the picture (switching to panorama, 4:3, wide screen etc) and none fully fit to size. Anyone know how to fix this? sorry if question is a little vague.TV picture not to size of screen?
Nothing wrong with it. You are watching a HD channel, but the program is not being broadcast in HD. Just leave your aspect set at Full or 16:9.TV picture not to size of screen?
It doesn't have a 16:9 aspect ratio? That's what most run on. Also, sometimes separate from the aspect ratio there is a zoom view option, either on remote or in menu. But it sounds like it needs to be on 16:9, however I could use a bit more detail. Is it stretched, or are there black bars on top/bottom or sides of the picture? It's hard to say without knowing what it looks like.
