How to change the size of a desktop wallpaper?

I found some really cool backgounds online I like and I am using safari internet and when I go to save the backgrounds and things I do all that then open the picture and right click on it and set it to desktop background but everytime I do that some of the background is cut off, can anyone tell me what I could do to fix this problem?How to change the size of a desktop wallpaper?
You need to re-size the image to match your desktop. If you are downloading 1024x768 (4:3 Ratio) for a newer LCD monitor they will many times not fill your desktop, or will distort the image...



If you have your desktop set for 1920x1080 (16:9 ratio - 90% of new 22 and up LCD monitors are this ratio) then you want a 1920x1080 image. Download the right size image or use your graphic software to re-size the images you are downloading...
