I have to assume your text is on a text layer. If it's rasterized then you can't change it without recreating the text layer.

Select the text tool (the T button) and the options panel on the main tool window will change and show font options. Open the Layers dialogue under Dialogs-%26gt;Layers, then select the correct text layer. The 'Size' option is the font size. Change that and the color and the text will change in the image.

Selection is a little funky in Gimp, so you may have to try a couple times.Gimp help. when i make a picture, and add text, how do i change the size of the text..? pleasse help!!?
