Picture resizing?

is there a way to change the FILE size of a picture without cropping it or changing visual size. if so, how?Picture resizing?
If you have photoshop you can save the file out using ';save for web'; it gives you different options of slightly degraded versions of your picture and you can choose the smallest one. Depending on the picture, I don't notice too much of a difference. Hope this helpedPicture resizing?
Depending on the type of picture, you can try changing the file type.

GIF, PNG, and JPG are good alternatives to BMP if you're using it.

An application called ';Irfanview'; can save lots of different file types, play around with it and see if you can get something to work.
open at powerpoint

click pic, right click

format/size

ms picture

click picture/resize - type the % to reduce
Yes. From Photoshop go to the top drop down menu ';Image'; then scroll to Image size. I'd change the resolution to 200 and adjust the width to what you would like it to be.

Look at the pixel dimensions at the very top. It should say what the files size was, and what it is after you changed the width. May sure the ';Constrain Proportions'; box is checked so that it sixes proportionately.
