How do I resize my illustrator file?

I don't mean the actual image. I know how to do that. What I mean, is that I want to change the dimensions of the box around it without changing the size of the actual picture if possible.How do I resize my illustrator file?
I think you want to change the document size for the picture size

ok select the picture

go to Window menu %26gt; activate TRANSFORM pallete %26gt; note the W%26amp;H size (right side)

now go to File menu %26gt; document setup %26gt; give the noted value
