When i scan a picture and it comes up on the laptop i want to print it and when i print it the picture constantly changes and becomes bigger and smaller and it does not come the same size of the picture i scanned and i need to no if i can make it the exact size and not blurryHow do i scan a picture and make it the same size that it is when i scan it?
Generally you scan a picture at the resoultion of what will be the output or viewing device, lost ya right?
OK if you want to view a picture on your monitor and see it the same size, lets say a 4x6'; picture, you would scan it at 75-100 dpi (dots per inch) now when you see it on the screen it will be the same size 4x6'; (or very close because you scanned it at the monitors resolution, usually between 75-100 dpi)
Now if you scan again at 100 dpi and send it to a printer the picture would be very small, the reason is because printers are typically 300 dpi or higher, so now 3'; of your picture is printed in a space of 1';
Ok for a printer we would scan the picture at 300 dpi (or close to the printers standard resolution) this would make the 4x6'; picture come out 4x6'; on the printer, however it will look 3 times bigger on your monitor, do you follow?
If you are still having trouble, make a new post so it's fresh and on top of the pile, and include the size of the picture, and is it printing or viewing on your screen that is giving you grief?How do i scan a picture and make it the same size that it is when i scan it?
If you are using windows, upon printing it will lead you to a guide, make sure you select the size you want.
Try to change scan resolution
And before print set the size in page setup.
You can view the printable size from print preview option.
